According to reports in leading Indian newspapers, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty will tie the knot with beau Raj Kundra this October. Planning to wed in a traditional ceremony, Shilpa says, “I have very traditional views of marriage. I've seen my parents maintain a 35-year marriage and I really believe marriages are made in heaven. I've always said that the day I decide to tie the knot it is going to be for good."She further adds, "I have often wondered who the right person would be and I've come to realise that for me it is Raj. I'm completely sure he is my soulmate.”
Raj Kundra also confirmed the news, saying, “I have spoken to Shilpa's parents and we are doing it the Indian way. In India, you don't get engaged until just before the wedding, so I didn't go down on one knee to her or anything like that. But we have definitely set a date for this year."
Together for two years and co-owners of the IPL team Rajasthan Royals, the couple are delaying the official announcement out of respect for British reality TV star Jade Goody, who passed away recently. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP and veteran Bollywood Super Star actress Hema Malini has expressed "disappointment" that Sanjay Dutt’s been denied permission to contest polls by the Supreme Court.
"We are disappointed," the BJP's star campaigner told reporters in Ranchi. The Supreme Court has refused to permit Dutt, convicted for being in the possession of illegal weapons in the run-up to the 1993 Mumbai bombings, to contest the Lucknow polls as the Samajwadi Party's candidate.
"Sanjay is a good man like his father. His prospect was bright... His past record came in the way."
The Rajya Sabha MP said husband Dharmendra, who was a BJP MP in the last Lok Sabha, was not contesting the parliamentary elections either.
"Dharamji does not have so much interest in politics. He is a good film actor. As far as I am concerned, I have other assignments which I have to fulfill. I do any work with full devotion and I think I cannot devote full time to politics," the actor-danseuse told reporters.
However, daughter Esha, also an actor, was interested.

However, the film was poor at most single screens. The industry feels that the film should've had a better start at multiplexes due to two reasons: 1. Holiday on Friday and 2. Paucity of big releases since last few weeks.
However, the reports are negative, with people not liking the second half. The film is not likely to show a big jump during the weekend.
8 X 10 is an action thriller that revolves around Jai, a man who has the power to see into the past. He uses this power to help people even though using it nearly kills him every time.

Salman Khan is Back After alot Of FLOPS Movie

All his recent flops notwithstanding, Superstar Salman Khan is all set to make a comeback with a huge bang. What with three of his big budget releases about to release within six weeks in July and August.Earlier there had been rumours about a possible clash between two of the Salman starrers – Prabhu Deva directed Wanted and Main Aur Mrs Khanna but this will not be the case as UTV has shifted Main Aur Mrs Khanna’s release date ahead.
Now as Wanted is being readied for a 3rd July release while Main Aur Mrs Khanna has been shifted to 31st July. The other Salman starrer London Dreams is being readied for Independence Day on August 14th.
We could also witness the first 100 crore clash ever on Independence Day as another heavyweight Blue is also expected on the same day and both films have a combine.
Salman Khan’s biggest venture of 2009, Veer however will make it to the cinema halls across the globe in 2009 end.

Four years back, the infamous Mumbai floods had created headlines world over. True to their reputation, the Bhatt brothers have taken a cue from these headlines and finished Tum Mile, a film that has the 2005 floods as its backdrop.
Directed by Kunal Deshmukh of Jannat fame, the film stars Vishesh Films' blue eyed boy Hot Emraan Hashmi along with Soha Ali Khan and is all set for a 24th July release.
Says a unit source, "The film sees the return of Sony Music and Vishesh Films who had collaborated just a few weeks back for Raaz - The Mystery Continues. Not only was the horror flick biggest hit ever for Emraan Hashmi and Vishesh Films, even if one looks at the quarter gone by, Raaz - The Mystery Continues is the first and the only hit of 2009."
He does make a point when while stating the fact that this is no mean feat considering that some of the biggest stars and biggest movies were released in the first quarter of 2009.
"Look at Akshay Kumar's Chandni Chowk To China, Shah Rukh Khan's Billu, Abhishek Bachchan's Delhi 6 or Farhan Akhtar's Luck By Chance - not a single film turned lucky and actually sunk without a trace."
Says Mukesh Bhatt, "We have always maintained that content is the King. We have backed strong content and now the icing on the cake is that we also have a top actor (Emraan Hashmi) amongst us. This only makes the project bigger and better."
Not much is revealed about the story line of the movie though except for the fact that it is a love story with a backdrop of infamous 26th July'05 Mumbai floods. Apparently, the characters played by Emraan Hashmi and Soha Ali Khan get trapped in the floods.
Insiders have been raving about the canvas of the film since these floods on the streets of Mumbai have been re-created.
"You should have been on the sets to believe it", says Emraan Hashmi, "Water level there was scary enough to actually drown people. Kunal (Deshmukh) wanted the situation to be an exact replica of the horrific flood situation that the city faced that fateful night. It was difficult to even imagine how commuters would have struggled with no support whatsoever."
The film is also special for another reason. Though Raaz - The Mystery Continues saw Bhatts coming together with a team of different composers, Tum Mile marks the coming back of Pritam whose last association with them had resulted in blockbuster musical success Jannat'.
Earlier, he has also worked on the music of Awarapan, Gangster and Woh Lamhe for the Bhatt banner.
Tum Mile is not the first film though which has been based on the 2005 floods. A small time film called 26th July at Barista was released without any fanfare last year.
The film had starred newcomers like Kabier Sawhney and Simran Vaid and was touted as a tribute to all the people of Mumbai who faced this hard reality and overcame it. However, the film had arrived unannounced and sank without a trace.

After there were talks all around about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan being immortalized as a Barbie doll, there was speculation that Genelia D’Souza was considered too because of her doll like and younger face.
Then suddenly it came out that Katrina Kaif will be the Barbie and she claimed that Ash was not in the running at all.
She also went around telling whoever cared to listen that she’s the first Indian to get that privilege.
Well, many ridiculed that claim of hers as she holds a British passport.
And Kat might claim that she has nothing against Ash and she respects her and all that, but smart cookie Ash isn't one to stay quiet without clarifying things.
She said she refused the Barbie doll deal due to her professional commitments.
In fact her representatives were in negotiations with Barbie's manufacturer Mattel, who planned to give the iconic doll a Bollywood face. But the deal did not take off.
In fact since 1994 when Aishwarya won the Miss World title, the company has made numerous attempts to make a celebrity doll modelled on the Indian beauty.
However, she could never make time for their endeavour, due to her professional commitments. Again on the doll's 50th anniversary, Aishwarya was approached to appear decked up as a celebrity Barbie but she had to opt out of that too due to her prior commitments with film-makers whose shoots clashed with the events.
A statement issued by Aishwarya's spokesperson said, "Mattel was keen to have the actress walk the ramp on Lakme Fashion Week 'Barbie dolled up' in a winning design as Single Likeness Barbie, which would be unveiled and auctioned for a charity of her choice."
God alone knows what the whole truth is. Hopefully we’ll get a glimpse of the whole truth one fine day Till then, Katrina can shut up and enjoy it all.

Actor Sanjay Dutt Out From Election Campaigns

After Bollywood Actor Sanjay Dutt’s humbling ouster from the elections getting A-list stars to campaign for political parties or individual candidates is going to be very tough.They’ve discreetly decided to show their solidarity for Sanju Baba by staying away from campaigning.
A very close friend of the popular actor says on condition of anonymity, “There’s a sense of dismay about Baba’s ouster from the elections. All of us had become political animals for this season because of our support for him. But with him no longer eligible for candidacy we feel campaigning for others would be morally and ethically wrong. Yaar, dil nahin karta.”
Many A-listers who planned to pitch in their might with the Dutt are now planning impromptu holidays in April with their families or persuading their producers to arrange long schedules far away from the country to beat the simmering summer heat and the discontent of the elections post the Dutt factor.
At least 7 major stars confessed to me on Wednesday morning that they would have happily campaigned for Sanjay Dutt, or even for other candidates if Dutt had been in the fray.
“But without him, the spirit of solidarity has vanished.Why should we campaign for anyone when Baba is out?” says a colleague and co-star of Dutt.
Madhur Bhandarkar echoes the rest of the industry’s feeling of dejection on Dutt’s ouster. “I’m out of Mumbai in Karjat for the whole of April shooting. Would I campaign for someone now? Doubtful. Unless it’s someone I believe can take the country forward. And at the moment I don’t see anyone whom I believe in.”
Govinda has offered to campaign for his Congress colleagues. But in the same breath he says, “My services are optional. My heart has to say the candidate is right. What happened with Sanju is tragic destiny. We can’t fight it. But we can stop and think about it.”
Irrfan Khan says very clearly that it would take a lot of persuasion for him to campaign for anyone. “I need to be convinced of candidate’s intentions.”
But it’s the unstoppable Shatrughan Sinha who bells the cat. On the way to Jammu on Wednesday morning to campaign for his party (the BJP) Shatrughan Sinha didn’t mince words. “It’s true the getting stars to campaign this elections won’t be that easy.
We of the film industry talk about solidarity and brotherhood. But we’re a house divided. I don’t know how many people would have come forward to actually campaign for their Sanju Baba.
But at the moment getting stars to campaign has become really tough. That puts a greater burden on me. I don’t only have to look out for my own candidacy in Patna I also have to be the so-called star attraction for my party and campaign for other candidates.”
As for Sanjay’s inability to contest elections Sinha says, “It’s the law of land telling him not to contest elections.We’ve to respect that. Humein banana republic nahin humein republic banana hai.”
Sinha advises restrain for all potential election candidates including the Samajwadi Party which has apparently suggested a Congress conspiracy against Sanjay Dutt.
“This kind of talk is only going to antagonize the Centre and won’t help anyone.” Commenting on party member Varun Gandhi’s inflammatory anti-Muslim speech and subsequent incarceration Shatrughan Sinha says, “I’ve decided not to make any comments on the matter.
Having said this I’d like to say decorum and retrain in your public speeches is a hallmark of a successful politician. You’ve to preach and practice transparency and decency in your public speeches. You’ve to make sure you don’t hurt the sentiments of any section of the people.”
The voluble and entertaining talker comments, “I am identified with a Hindu party. But I’ve never said or done anything to create a feeling of mistrust among Muslims.
In fact I’ve been repeatedly invited to Pakistan as their state guest even after being inducted in the BJP. And my biggest victory in politics is when Muslims say they trust me.
In fact I’m about to attend a huge Muslim convention in Patna at the Anjuman Islamiya Hall. I feel I’m more a people’s people than a politician.”

Irrfan Khan says very clearly that it would take a lot of persuasion for him to campaign for anyone. “I need to be convinced of candidate’s intentions.”
But it’s the unstoppable Shatrughan Sinha who bells the cat. On the way to Jammu on Wednesday morning to campaign for his party (the BJP) Shatrughan Sinha didn’t mince words. “It’s true the getting stars to campaign this elections won’t be that easy.
We of the film industry talk about solidarity and brotherhood. But we’re a house divided. I don’t know how many people would have come forward to actually campaign for their Sanju Baba.
But at the moment getting stars to campaign has become really tough. That puts a greater burden on me. I don’t only have to look out for my own candidacy in Patna I also have to be the so-called star attraction for my party and campaign for other candidates.”
As for Sanjay’s inability to contest elections Sinha says, “It’s the law of land telling him not to contest elections.We’ve to respect that. Humein banana republic nahin humein republic banana hai.”
Sinha advises restrain for all potential election candidates including the Samajwadi Party which has apparently suggested a Congress conspiracy against Sanjay Dutt.
“This kind of talk is only going to antagonize the Centre and won’t help anyone.” Commenting on party member Varun Gandhi’s inflammatory anti-Muslim speech and subsequent incarceration Shatrughan Sinha says, “I’ve decided not to make any comments on the matter.
Having said this I’d like to say decorum and retrain in your public speeches is a hallmark of a successful politician. You’ve to preach and practice transparency and decency in your public speeches. You’ve to make sure you don’t hurt the sentiments of any section of the people.”
The voluble and entertaining talker comments, “I am identified with a Hindu party. But I’ve never said or done anything to create a feeling of mistrust among Muslims.
In fact I’ve been repeatedly invited to Pakistan as their state guest even after being inducted in the BJP. And my biggest victory in politics is when Muslims say they trust me.
In fact I’m about to attend a huge Muslim convention in Patna at the Anjuman Islamiya Hall. I feel I’m more a people’s people than a politician.”

Indian Actor John Got a Job of Fitness Coach John Abraham, whose sculpted body is something most young men desire, is busy helping actor Shreyas Talpade to get into shape. The two actors, along with Kay Kay Menon, Sharad Kapoor and Krushna Abhishek, are shooting in Hyderabad for David Dhawan's comedy thriller Hook Ya Crook.
Shreyas is going to be on a fitness regime for two weeks while he's doing a marathon shoot of Hook Ya Crook, said a press release.
"John (Abraham) has set up a gym at the hotel they are staying at and has persuaded Shreyas, along with Kay Kay, Sharad and Krushna, to sweat it out every evening after pack up. Also, Shreyas would be on a stringent dietary regime chalked out by John. So that means keeping a check on what he eats and when," added the release.

“Yes it’s true that I have signed Balaji’s film Once Upon A Time In Mumbai. I can’t tell details about my character but its going to be a different character over all. I’m pairing opposite Emraan Hashmi. He is one of the most successful actors and the music of all his films have always been appreciated by all. I’m hoping that even this film will also be a hit. Besides me and Emraan, there will also be Kangana Ranaut and Ajay Devgan.”
Further she tells, “I’m happy that I’m back with Balaji banner but the only difference would be the whole crew will be different as the film is directed by Milan Luthra. The shooting of the film has not yet started but it will start soon and mainly the shooting will happen in Mumbai. I would have to a lot of research for my character.”
Prachi also shared with us about her flick Life Partner, “The shooting and the dubbing part for the film is over. This film was supposed to release on 1st May but due to the strike of multiplexes, it will be postponed.”
